The father of Sarah Palin's grandchild said Wednesday night that he might pursue legal action against the Alaska governor's family, who he says has cut off communication with him and are no longer letting him see their son Tripp.

Levi Johnston said during an interview on CNN's "Larry King Live" that he has hired an attorney in hopes of compelling former fiancé Bristol Palin to honor his visitation rights.

Johnston last saw his four-month-old son "a couple weeks ago," he said, adding that going over to the Palin household to see Tripp is "an uncomfortable thing."

Sarah Palin will do whatever it takes to save her career.

The drama around Sarah Palin’s family seems to know no boundaries.

The Alaska governor’s father Chuck Heath was quoted by a weekly magazine attacking Levi Johnston, 19, the father of 18-year-old Bristol Palin’s baby. But now Heath, in an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, says he never made those comments and has only complimentary things to say about Levi.

“I have a good relationship [with Levi],” Heath said Thursday afternoon. “Levi was a good guy, we got along really well, we have our dogs and hunting in common. I encouraged him to go back to school and get his GED.”

Heath was quoted in an earlier published report lambasting Johnston’s recent TV appearances saying: “I don’t agree with what he’s doing right now. It’s not right. He’s broke, so he’s trying to capitalize on this. I wish he’d take some of this money he’s making and buy some diapers with it.” Johnston has publicly complained that the Palins are limiting his access to his baby Tripp with the governor’s daughter.

Dr. Laura blogs on in that simplistic way of hers. It is a beautiful fantasy, but the old days weren't always the best of times for women or children. Yes, there were shotgun weddings. What a solution. Was it really ever in Sarah's plans? Or was Levi just a convenience? He does have his backers. Whatever Dr. Laura says, she did vote for Sarah Palin and her ways.

Doesn't Levi deserve any respect for speaking out and trying to be a meaningful part of Tripp's life, for protecting his family from the Palin attacks?

Star Magazine Reports Bristol Palin Estranged From Levi Johnston

The rumormill continues to churn around the Palin family in Wasilla, Alaska. Star Magazine is reporting Bristol Palin, daughter of former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, has broken off her engagement to her baby's father, Levi Johnston.

Citing quotes from Johnston's sister, Mercede, the Star's Web site reports the 18-year-old Bristol is estranged from the 19-year-old father of the couple's two-month-old son, Tripp.

"Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible," the Star quotes Mercede as saying.

According to Radar

Mercede of Wasilla told Star: "Bristol's just crazy. That's the nicest way I can put it. She and Levi actually broke up a while ago!"

Apparently, Levi is also far from being a hands-on dad. Said Mercede: "Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible for him. She tells him he can't take the baby to our house because she doesn't want him around 'white trash.' She treats him so badly!"

If Mercede is honestly spilling the beans, she has revealed the Greta Van Susteren Fox TV, Exclusive: A Visit With the Palins, was a complete lie. What did Greta know and when did she know it? Has Bristol Palin inherited her parents truth challenged traits or is this learned behavior?
